Provides for the suspension of a commercial driver's license if a driver has been convicted of a violation of local laws relating to a designated system of truck routes.
Enacts the "electric super highway act", requiring alternative fuels to be available for public use along the New York state thruway after November 1, 2025 and providing each recommended alternative fuel at least every one hundred twenty miles on both sides of the thruway; defines "alternative fuel".
Relates to increasing fines for individuals who fail to comply with a stop work order; increases fines from $6,000 to $10,000 for initial violation and $12,000 to $20,000 for subsequent violations.
Directs the department of health to request guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to determine whether the state can claim federal financial participation for coverage of and payment for certain evidence-based mobile medical applications.
Relates to establishing discount programs for veterans; provides that utilities, waterworks corporations, telephone corporations and cable television companies shall create discount programs that provide a 10 percent discount to veterans; defines terms.
Provides for the return of fines, restitution and reparation payments and any interest thereon where a defendant is subsequently pardoned upon the ground of innocence or the conviction is reversed or vacated.
Relates to requiring the establishment of utility customer arrears reporting; requires utilities to report to the public service commission on customers who are in arrears.
Authorizes child care assistance to be made available to certain victims of domestic violence who are in need of assistance in order for a parent or caretaker relative to engage in work or participate in work activities.
Allows parents and legal guardians to work from home; allows flexible working arrangements during a public health emergency or state or local disaster emergency which closes schools or day care centers; defines terms; creates a rebuttable presumption that an employee can work remotely if such employee has done so for two consecutive pay periods or two weeks; creates a civil penalty for violations.
Relates to requiring every residential lease to provide conspicuous notice of the availability of community solar for the provision of a tenant's electricity needs.
