Requires covered businesses to annually report to the department of labor regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on hiring and the nature of artificial intelligence use for the previous year; requires the department of labor to file an annual report on the impact of artificial intelligence on hiring and the nature of artificial intelligence use in the state; establishes penalties for covered business that fail to submit such reports.
Enacts the "Baby Food and Infant Formula Safety and Transparency Act"; requires the testing of baby food and infant formula for toxic heavy metals and the disclosure of such test results.
Prohibits unregulated pregnancy centers from requiring clients, as a condition of service, or making it reasonably appear to be a condition of service, to disclose certain information relating to their medical history, sexual history, relationship to the other parent of the potential baby, or insurance or financial information.
Establishes farm security resiliency grant awards for farm employers who have suffered eligible losses as a result of eligible weather conditions or events; establishes the farm security resiliency grant board to make recommendations to the commissioner of agriculture and markets regarding applications for farm security resiliency grant awards.
Relates to the definition of "reproductive health services" for purposes of the offense of criminal interference with health care services or religious worship in the second degree; defines "legally protected health activity"; increases the penalties for the criminal interference with health care services or religious worship in the first and second degrees, and for aggravated interference with health care services in the second degree.
Includes certain willful representations made by physicians, physician's assistants, and specialist's assistants to patients and clients, or relating to patients' and clients' private health information, as professional misconduct.
Permits licensed pharmacists and nurse practitioners to prescribe and order COVID-19 immunizations; permits physicians to issue non-patient specific orders to pharmacists for COVID-19 immunizations for patients two years of age and older; permits pharmacists to issue patient specific orders for COVID-19 immunizations for patients two years of age and older.
Allows the removal of criminal actions to a mental health court in an adjoining county and provides for the reversion to the original court of record where the defendant fails to comply with or complete the mental health court program.
Requires that any proposed capital expenditure to be considered in any matter affecting a major change in rates must be described by the utility on a per project basis and shall include the purpose and the need for each capital expenditure, total cost, and benefits to the ratepayers and the operation of the distribution system, and shall be posted on the PSC website.
Provides a rebuttable presumption relating to recertification as a minority and women-owned business enterprise if there is no change in the ownership or capital contribution relied upon for certification of the enterprise and no material change in the nature or management of the enterprise from the time of approval of the previous minority and women-owned business enterprise certification.
