Makes life imprisonment without parole mandatory for defendants convicted of murder in the first degree or second degree and the victim is a police officer, peace officer, first responder or correctional officer.
Requires the state pay taxes on the assessed value of properties of closed state prisons until such prison is reopened, used by another state agency, or is conveyed to a non-governmental entity.
Establishes the savings bank, savings and loan association or credit union municipal deposit program; defines terms; provides that a credit union accepting deposits of public money is subject to certain limitations and shall pledge assets or furnish other security satisfactory in form and amount to the depositor, for the repayment of monies held in the name of such depositor, when required to be secured by applicable law, decree, or regulation.
Prohibits the acquisition of real property by foreign countries and entities of particular concern as well as citizens, companies, entities, and members of such countries and entities.
Requires applicants for certain nursing licenses and certifications to complete a course in the prevention of human trafficking; directs the commissioners of education and health to develop such training and regulations; directs that certain forfeited funds be used to reimburse actual costs expended for the development of such training.
Relates to expenses borne by counties outside of the city of New York for the issuance and maintenance of record books utilized by authorized gunsmiths in the sale and disposition of firearms in the state.
Includes falsely reporting incidents in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of police officers to a particular address or location as a felony offense under the crime of falsely reporting an incident in the second degree.
