Prohibits the manufacture, modification, sale, transfer, equipping, use, or operation of a robotic device or an uncrewed aircraft equipped or mounted with a weapon within the state.
Prohibits the disclosure of the home address, personal telephone numbers, personal email addresses or personal social media handles of any active or former New York state, New York city or local municipal emergency first responder, a judge of any court of law of this state, or a New York state, county or municipal prosecutor or the spouse or child thereof; relates to criminal penalties; permits civil action.
Establishes the crime of interference with emergency first responders; creates a fifteen foot buffer zone around emergency first responders engaged in the performance of their official duties.
Relates to licensing of independent insurance adjusters by deeming requirements regarding a written examination met if the applicant holds a claim certification from a national or state-based claims association.
Enacts the "who you gonna call? act"; classifies vehicles of the office of chief medical examiner of the city of New York as an emergency vehicle; classifies any actual or potential scene where the New York city office of chief medical examiner has an official role as an emergency operation; authorizes vehicles of the office of chief medical examiner of the city of New York to affix vehicles with blue, red and white lights.
Establishes a certified community behavioral health clinic public awareness campaign to educate the public regarding certified community behavioral health clinics.
Provides that reimbursement payable for grants for nonpublic school safety equipment shall be paid within twelve months of the nonpublic school furnishing all required application materials for such grant to the department of education; requires the commissioner of education to report on any such reimbursements payable.
Prohibits electric scooter service platforms operating a digital network from operating electric scooters in this state unless such platform displays a warning that persons under 18 years of age are not allowed to operate electric scooters through the platform; imposes a penalty for violations.
