Prohibits the retrospective denial of payment for substance use disorder treatment services if an insured was covered for such services at the time treatment was initiated; requires insurers to notify a treatment provider when an insured has lost coverage based on termination of the insured's employment.
Enacts the student suicide prevention act; requires the governing board or body of every local educational agency serving students in grades seven to twelve, to adopt policies, procedures and guidelines on student suicide prevention, intervention and postvention for students in such grades.
Relates to the provision of breast pumps and related collection and storage materials to certain incarcerated nursing birth parents who are confined in or committed to an institution or local correctional facility with or without their child subject to specific time limitations; requires institutions and local correctional facilities to provide pumps and related materials to such incarcerated birth parents; requires the commissioner of corrections and community supervision to issue an annual report on data relating to incarcerated birth parents.
Provides alternative retirement benefits for the police force at Erie County Medical Center; provides a qualifying member shall receive a retirement allowance consisting of a pension equal to one-fiftieth of their final average salary for each year of qualifying creditable service.
Prohibits local, state and federal law enforcement officers from wearing any mask or personal disguise while interacting with the public in the performance of their duties; excludes certain protective masks.
Provides that a licensee for an adult-use retail dispensary whose license was approved by the office prior to July twenty-eighth, two thousand twenty-five, and whose business location was found to be in compliance with standards used by the office at the time of such approval, regardless of such business location's proximity to a school property line, shall be deemed compliant for purposes of license renewal and continued operation at such location.
Establishes a central business district toll exemption for employees of the fire department of the city of New York in the title of firefighter, fire marshal, marine engineer, pilot or wiper.
Requires reporting of statewide training hours allocated to each firefighter; requires such report shall identify the fire department or district providing the training.
Provides a heart disease presumption for members employed as a probation officer, supervising probation officer or probation officer trainee of a department of probation in a city with a population of one million or more.
Provides for beneficiaries of the death benefits of an eligible uniformed member of the fire department of the city of New York the ability to elect to receive such benefits in a certain lump-sum amount.
Relates to terms and conditions of employment for members of the collective negotiating unit consisting of investigators, senior investigators, and investigative specialists in the division of state police; relates to the employee benefit fund for members of such unit; makes an appropriation therefor; repeals certain provisions of law relating thereto.
