Requires employers and third-party websites, job boards, and recruitment platforms to remove inactive job postings within a certain timeframe; authorizes the commissioner of labor to promulgate rules and regulations regarding such posting requirements and violations thereof.
Requires members of a public body to complete a minimum of two hours of training, with one hour on the state's open meetings law and one hour on freedom of information law; requires certain local, city, county, town and village public body members to complete such training as well.
Requires insurance coverage of sonograms and other diagnostic procedures used to detect breast cancer for covered persons with a prior history of breast cancer or who have a first degree relative with a prior history of breast cancer.
Requires manufacturers of internet-enabled devices to conduct commercially reasonable age assurance to determine whether a user is a covered minor and shall provide all websites, online services, online applications and mobile applications on such user's internet-enabled device and/or application store manufactured by the covered manufacturer with a digital signal that such user is a covered minor via a real-time application programming interface (API).
Allows an employee to use paid sick leave for bereavement upon the death of a family member, or upon pregnancy loss by the employee or the employee's spouse or domestic partner or upon a foster child leaving a foster family provided the foster child was in the care of the foster family for six months or longer.
Removes the board of trustees of the state university of New York as a charter entity for purposes of receiving charter school applications leaving the board of regents as the main authorizer in the charter school application process; makes conforming amendments.
Enacts the "Shirley Myers White Right To Reconciliation and Digital Identity Repair Act"; establishes a right for individuals to have outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete public and digital narratives corrected once a legal matter is resolved; requires institutions to provide mechanisms for context, updates, and correction so that individuals are not permanently penalized by disproven or obsolete information in digital and automated systems.
Requires an annual inspection and audit process which shall review five percent of individual apartment improvement notifications for rent stabilized apartments outside of the city of New York; requires additional audits where violations are found.
