Panama Canal Repurchase Act of 2025This bill authorizes the President to negotiate with the appropriate Panamanian government officials to reacquire the Panama Canal. The President must submit a report to Congress within 180 days of enactment detailing the progress of such negotiations, potential challenges, and anticipated outcomes.

Make Greenland Great Again ActThis bill authorizes the President to seek to enter into negotiations with Denmark to acquire Greenland.If such an agreement is reached, the President must transmit the agreement and related materials to Congress within five calendar days. The agreement shall go into effect 60 calendar days after such transmission unless Congress enacts a joint resolution of disapproval.
Memorializing Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim November 3, 2025, as Panamanian Heritage Day in the State of New York in conjunction with commemoration of the anniversary of Panamanian Independence Day
This joint resolution proposes a constitutional amendment that authorizes the President to use a line item veto to reduce an appropriation in a bill or joint resolution. Under the amendment, the President must notify Congress within 10 days of using this authority to reduce an appropriation. The House and Senate may then consider disapproval of the reduction. If at least two-thirds of each chamber of Congress votes to disapprove the reduction, the amount of the appropriation that is subject to the reduction must be returned to the amount that was originally presented to the President.
This resolution expresses that the Panama Canal is vital to U.S. regional security, hemispheric hegemony, and economic interests. The resolution also assesses that Chinese-backed investment in Panama's port infrastructure and canal operations violates the Neutrality Treaty (i.e., the Treaty Concerning the Permanent Neutrality and Operation of the Panama Canal, signed in 1977) and urges the administration to ensure that the canal remains neutral.
