Congratulating the Marlboro High School Boys Bowling Team upon the occasion of winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Division II State Championship
Establishes a statewide advance care planning public awareness campaign and a community based advance care planning outreach grant program to fund not-for-profit community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, immigrant-serving organizations, senior-serving agencies, housing-based organizations, and other trusted community partners to conduct advance care planning education, outreach, and navigation.
Authorizes the state university trustees to promulgate rules or regulations relating to late fees and exceptions for students submitting certificate of residence forms, and a reconciliation process for such forms received after the list of non-resident students was sent to a county.
Requires limited services pregnancy centers to disclose to clients that they do not have a licensed medical provider on staff who provides or supervises reproductive health services at such center; requires such disclosure to be provided in writing and orally, and to be available in English and Spanish; provides for reporting of violations; provides penalties for violations.
Establishes the New York state rural ambulance services task force to conduct annual studies on the availability of ambulance services in rural areas and to make recommendations upon the findings of such studies; requires the department of health to submit an annual report detailing the findings of such studies.
Relates to prohibiting the acquisition or transfer of agricultural land by foreign adversaries after January 1, 2026; provides that such prohibition will not apply to any interest in agricultural land held by a foreign adversary prior to such date or any federally recognized Indian tribe or its government units and enterprises; defines terms.
Waives the registration fee and service charge for distinctive plates for volunteer firefighters and members of volunteer ambulance services where the applicant has attended twenty-five percent or more of the emergency calls for the previous year.
Requires the board of elections to notify victims of domestic violence whose registration is maintained as confidential of the expiration of the confidentiality of such registration records; requires such notice to include information on a new application for confidentiality of records.
Establishes the "tenant opportunity to purchase act"; prevents the displacement of middle and lower-income tenants in New York; preserves affordable housing by providing an opportunity for tenants to own or remain renters in the properties in which they reside.
