Establishes duties for pharmacies when pharmacists employed by such pharmacy refuse to fill prescriptions on the basis of personal beliefs; requires a pharmacy to ensure the prescription is filled by another pharmacist; requires the pharmacy to inform individuals of items not in stock; requires such items to be ordered by another pharmacist without delay; sets forth penalty provisions.
Requires a principal, superintendent or a principal's or superintendent's designee to notify law enforcement if they believe a hate crime is occurring.
Requires instruction in physical education in certain elementary and secondary schools including for students with disabling conditions and those in alternative education programs.
Requires mandatory health insurance coverage for prosthetic devices; requires coverage where the model is determined to adequately meet the medical needs of the policy holder.
Allows a person with a master's of social work degree who meets certain requirements to file to be licensed within one year after the effective date of this act.
Establishes a demonstration program extending the J-51 tax exemption to the conversion and rehabilitation of commercial and manufacturing space to co-located work space and residential units in certain high density areas in Kings county.
Enacts the "minority mental health act" to establish the division of minority mental health within the office of mental health; provides that such division shall be responsible for assuring that mental health programs and services are culturally and linguistically appropriate to meet the needs of racial and ethnic minorities.
Requires police agencies to report offenses to the division of criminal justice services which appear to such agency to be motivated by the race, national origin, religion or sexual orientation of the victim or of the owner, resident, lessee or occupant where the offense is committed against property.
Defines photographing (whether by still or moving pictures) persons entering or leaving reproductive health care services facilities as aggravated harassment in the third degree; exempts constitutionally protected conduct and activities regulated by certain federal labor laws.
