Memorializing Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim March 20, 2026, as Behavior Analysis Day in the State of New York, in conjunction with the observance of World Behavioral Analysis Day
Requires the department of health to develop and maternal health care providers to distribute written information about episiotomy to maternity patients.
Establishes a continuing care retirement community bill of rights; requires the commissioner of health to designate a county ombudsperson to monitor such bill of rights.
Enacts "Isabella's law" to require all health insurance policies and medical assistance to provide insurance coverage for the cost of medically necessary hearing aids for children under the age of 16.
Relates to the transfer of funds into the metropolitan transportation authority aid trust account and the public transportation system operating assistance account.
Provides penalties when a landlord of a residential premises refuses to rent to a potential tenant on the basis that the potential tenant was involved in a past or pending landlord-tenant action or summary proceeding.
Prohibits insurance companies from discriminating based on genetic predisposition including refusing to issue or renew, charging any increased rate, or restricting any length of coverage; prohibits insurers from requiring genetic testing.
Eliminates the restriction on class actions involving a penalty or minimum recovery; adds language expressly permitting class actions against governmental entities.
Relates to the liability of a person who makes or uses a false record or statement material to an obligation to pay money to the state or a local government under the tax law, or who conceals or improperly avoids or decreases an obligation to pay money to the state or a local government under the tax law.
