JOINT RESOLUTION MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $800,000 TO WATERFIRE PROVIDENCE (This resolution would authorize the appropriation of the sum of $800,000 to WaterFire Providence.)
HOUSE RESOLUTION PRAISING THE RHODE ISLAND AND FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, PROVIDENCE MAYOR BRETT P. SMILEY, RHODE ISLAND ATTORNEY GENERAL PETER NERONHA, COLONEL OSCAR PEREZ, CHIEF OF THE PROVIDENCE POLICE DEPARTMENT, PROVIDENCE FIRE CHIEF DEREK SILVA, AND THE HEROIC MEDICAL PERSONNEL, PARTICULARLY THOSE AT RHODE ISLAND HOSPITAL, WHO SAVED THE LIVES OF MANY OF THE SHOOTING VICTIMS AT BROWN UNIVERSITY
Provides that licensed independent clinical social workers be able to enroll and bill Medicaid directly for covered services provided to adults with Medicaid fee-for-service coverage.
Adds to those persons exempt from payment of parking fees at any recreational facility owned and operated by the state those individuals determined by the executive office of HHS, or its designee, to be disabled for purposes of Medicaid eligibility.
Increases the yearly amount of money that retired teachers, who had been certified driver education teachers, could earn from fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) to twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000), without a reduction in their retirement benefits.
Recognizes that municipal employees have the opportunity to utilize binding arbitration and establishes new factors for the arbitrators to consider. These factors include comparisons of wages/hourly conditions of employment in similarly skilled jobs.
Sets the allocation to RIPTA at the greater of $0.1175 per gallon or 29.375% of total proceeds, with $0.005 per gallon derived from the $0.01 per gallon environmental protection fee.
Establishes a digital electronics right to repair, which allows for digital electronic equipment and parts that are sold in this state on or after January 1, 2027, to be repaired at an independent repair provider.
Provides educators and administrators employed in a charter public school or mayoral academy with prevailing wage and benefits oversight and recourse if found in violation of the same.
