Establishes the shovel-ready housing program under which certain municipalities, at their option, may pre-authorize parcels of property for the construction of housing; establishes a shovel-ready community tax rebate for taxpayers residing in municipalities that opt-in to the shovel-ready housing program; provides for annual apportionment to municipalities that have certified participation in the shovel-ready housing program.
Provides for insurance coverage of comprehensive annual medical examinations for firefighters due to their increased risk for cancer and cancer-related diseases.
Authorizes the commissioner of health to make adjustments to payments for the provision and reimbursement of transportation costs for the purposes of providing increased access to Medicaid Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support Level 1, Advanced Life Support Level 2, and Specialty Care Transport in rural communities.
Establishes a state frontotemporal degeneration registry; defines terms; requires every physician, nurse practitioner, nurse physician assistant and general hospital that diagnoses or is treating a patient diagnosed with an FTD disorder to give notice to the department; requires certain information to be confidential; sets forth the duties of the commissioner of health; requires the department of health to create and maintain a webpage.
Requires a New York state driver's license or non-driver ID, a United States passport, an identification card issued by a United States educational institution, a United States military identification card, a government issued medical card, or any identification card issued by the United States or the state of New York to be presented when casting a ballot.
Establishes the New York state rural mobile communications fund to provide grants for the purpose of increasing cellular service in low- to no-coverage areas.
Establishes the rural equity assistance program to promote and facilitate community and economic development in the small towns and rural areas of the state.
Includes retirement plans in the exemption for pensions and annuities for certain persons; increases such exemption to one hundred thousand dollars as adjusted by the consumer price index annually.
