Relates to establishing the SUNY excess building asset inventory and repurposing act and conducting a study relating to repurposing or demolishing excess buildings in the state university of New York.
Requires a premises license issued by the department of taxation and finance for businesses retailing certain smoking products and paraphernalia; directs the department to issue regulations.
Provides standards for correctional facilities in relation to medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorders and the testing for opioid use when an individual is first incarcerated.
Requires mandatory background checks for persons employed by or volunteering at any business corporation, not-for-profit corporation, limited liability company, or limited partnership that regularly provides instructional, recreational or extracurricular services to minors, including but not limited to dance studios, gymnastic schools, martial arts academies, sports training facilities, music schools and performing arts schools, tutoring and academic enrichment centers; provides for enforcement and penalties; prohibits certain people from owning such businesses.
Establishes the "stop online predators act"; requires operators of covered platforms to conduct age verification to determine whether a user is a covered minor; requires operators of covered platforms to utilize certain default privacy settings for covered minors; requires operators of covered platforms to require parental approval of certain activity related to a covered minor's covered platform account.
Requires the cannabis control board to provide notice to state legislative representatives upon receipt of application for an adult-use cannabis retail dispensary or on-site consumption license in their district.
Provides that the thruway authority shall issue permits for ambulances and fire vehicles exempting such vehicles from paying tolls on the thruway when engaged in an emergency operation.
Provides for a partial exemption from taxation of certain residential real property transferred by a governmental entity, nonprofit housing organization, land bank or community land trust to low-income households; sets forth conditions for the discontinuance of such exemption.
