Requires all state and private agencies with mandatory reporters of incidents involving vulnerable people to retrain all staff on reporting to a 9-1-1 operator and the county district attorney's office and state and private websites; requires written materials to be updated.
Directs school districts and boards of cooperative educational services to implement certified point-of-use lead removal filtration devices when an elevated risk for lead exposure is identified; allows for the discontinuance of use of such filtration devices once certain requirements are met.
Relates to establishing civil penalties for failure of propane providers to deliver emergency service under automatic refill contracts, providing for enforcement by the department of public service and the office of the attorney general, and directing that all collected civil penalties be deposited into the New York state general fund.
