Memorializing Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim March 2025, as Women's History Month in the State of New York, recognizing the invaluable contributions of women in all aspects of society
Relates to accessibility requirements in certain procurement contracts; requires contracts that include information and communication technologies (ICTs) are accessible to people with disabilities; requires that the ability of a prospective contractor to meet such requirement be considered in making the contract award.
Directs the commissioner of the office for people with developmental disabilities to deny employment or volunteer applications based on a criminal history report for such applicant.
Directs the board of standards and appeals and the city planning commission in the city of New York to mail a copy of each application for and appeal of a variance to the city council member, borough president and state legislators for the affected land.
Relates to the distribution of educational materials regarding the misuse of and addiction to prescription drugs in counties with the most prevalent abuse of prescription opioids.
Establishes the crime of larceny of a controlled substance making it an A-II felony to steal more than 25 dosage units of a schedule II, III, IV, or V controlled substance from a pharmacy.
Provides for the seizure and forfeiture of vehicles, vessels and aircraft used in counterfeit goods; establishes this shall not apply to vehicles, vessels, or aircrafts that are used by any person as a common carrier in the transaction of business as such common carrier.
Requires certain public and nonpublic schools to provide transportation or reimburse costs incurred for such transportation for certain students residing in an area containing at least three hundred students within a one-mile radius.
Directs the board of standards and appeals in the city of New York to mail a copy of each application for a variance to property owners within 1 mile of the affected property.
Creates the teen driver safety commission consisting of 12 members; requires the commission to study, examine and review the issue of teen driver safety; requires the commission to report its findings, conclusions and recommendations.
