Prohibits the purchase of single-use plastic products by state agencies, first limiting purchases to be used at any event, briefing, or meeting hosted or sponsored by a state agency in 2030, and a complete prohibition beginning in 2035.
Establishes state procurement goals for New York state products throughout state agencies and private entities performing state contracts; provides that every year after enactment, a certain percentage of products purchased by state agencies will be New York state products, with such percentage threshold increasing each year up until five years.
Clarifies that certain prohibitions on insurance companies relating to misrepresentations, misleading statements and incomplete comparisons shall apply to policies or contracts purchased and delivered or issued for delivery in the state of New York.
To Amend The Law Concerning Prohibited Contracts By State Agencies; And To Prohibit The Use Of Public Funds By State Agencies To Purchase Promotional Items Made In China.
