Authorizes, under certain circumstances, full-time college and university students to act as election inspectors and poll clerks in the election district where their college or university is located.
In district election officers, further providing for oath of judge of election, for oaths of inspectors of election, for oaths of clerks of election and for oath of machine inspectors.
In district election officers, providing for master list of prospective clerks of election and for clerk of election vacancies and further providing for vacancies in election boards, appointment, judge and majority inspector to be members of majority party and minority inspector to be member of minority party.
Requires fire district elections occur on the same day as school board elections and requires that such voting day follows similar procedures to early voting; requires such election be overseen by the local county board of elections.
Prohibits the enforcement of federal immigration laws while within two hundred feet of specified voting locations; extends the prohibition on electioneering activities to within two hundred feet of the specified voting location; authorizes a county elections official to extend the time for closing the polls at any polling place if the county elections official determines that voting at the polling place was disrupted as a result of a violation of the prohibitions on enforcement of federal immigration laws or electioneering; limits the exceptions to the prohibition on carrying firearms in a sensitive location; provides for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof.
Permits boards of elections to opt to mail communications regarding primary elections to only those voters eligible to vote in such primary elections; excludes such option for the board of elections of the city of New York.
