Authorizes the village board of trustees of the village of Hempstead to provide for a residential parking permit system and fix and require the payment of fees applicable to parking within the area in which such parking system is in effect.
Provides that cities having a population in excess of one million shall not supersede state provisions relating to the state law prohibition on individuals standing or parking a vehicle within twenty feet of a cross walk at an intersection.
Grants temporary parking permits for handicapped parking spaces to pregnant persons; requires certification from a physician; provides that such permit terminates at the end of the pregnancy.
