An Act To Amend Section 63-16-13, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Increase By A Certain Amount The Fine For A Conviction Of Operating A Motor Vehicle Without Mandatory Liability Insurance; To Provide That A Judge Shall Not Waive Such Fine And May Authorize The Reinstatement Of A Defendant's Driver's License Only Upon Proof Of Mandatory Liability Insurance And Payment Of Any Fines, Assessments And/or Fees; To Amend Section 63-15-4, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require Each Public School District, Public Charter School And Agricultural High School, And Certain State High Schools, To Adopt And Send To The State Department Of Education, No Later Than January 1, 2027, A Specific Policy Banning The Possession, Or Restricting The Use, Of Cell Phones By Students During Class Or While Under The Supervision And Control Of A School Employee; To Provide That, If A School Or School District Fails To Adopt And Transmit A Policy As Required, The State Department Of Education Shall Deduct One Day's Worth Of The School's Or District's Funds Under The Total Funding Formula For Each Day After January 1, 2027, That The School Or District Is Noncompliant; To Provide For Potential Exceptions Which Allow Students To Possess Or Use Cell Phones Under Certain Circumstances; To Provide That Sufficient Cause For Suspension Or Expulsion May Not Consist Of Only A Violation Of The Cell Phone Possession And Use Policy Developed And Implemented Under This Act, Except That Suspension May Be Used As A Disciplinary Measure Of Last Resort; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require That The Mississippi Secretary Of State Shall Mail Out Postcards To All Registered Voters With Their Designated Polling Place Information; To Provide That Any Changes Made By Local Governing Authorities To The Location Of Polling Places Shall Be Provided To The Secretary Of State, And The Secretary Of State Shall Send Out Postcards With The Updated Information; To Require That Polling Place Postcards Be Mailed Out Thirty Days Before A General, Primary Or Special Election, Or As Soon As Possible Via Certified Mail If The Polling Place Change Takes Place Less Than Thirty Days Before An Election; To Amend Sections 23-15-281 And 23-15-557, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform; And For Related Purposes.
