An Act To Create New Section 37-11-85, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Schools Shall Allow Each Teacher And One Guest To Attend Any School-sponsored Extracurricular Event For Free; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Direct Each Local School Board To Adopt A Policy Excusing A Student From School To Attend A Released Time Course For No More Than Three Class Periods Per Week Or A Maximum Of 125 Class Periods Per School Year Under Certain Conditions; To Provide That The Student Shall Receive Elective Credit For Time Spent Attending Released Time Courses; To Provide Religiously Neutral Criteria For A School Board To Follow In Determining Whether Credit May Be Awarded For A Particular Released Time Course; To Exempt Charter Schools And Virtual Schools; To Amend Section 37-13-91, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 27-19-31, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Prohibit The Equipping Of A Manual, Electronic Or Mechanical Device That Hides Or Obscures A License Plate; To Bring Forward Section 27-19-131, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For Possible Amendment; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Require That, Beginning In The 2027-2028 School Year, Every Public And Charter School Student Within The State Pass The Uscis Naturalization Civics Test As A Requirement For High School Graduation; To Provide That Students Must Pass The Test During The School Year Before Graduation; To Provide That Schools Shall Designate Faculty To Administer The Test In Writing Under Standard Testing Conditions Four Times Per School Year; To Require That The Test Consist Of 20 Questions Selected From The List Of 128 Civics Test Questions In The Uscis Question Pool; To Specify That A Student Must Answer 12 Of The 20 Questions Correctly To Pass; To Require That The Questions Be Rotated So That No Questions Are Repeated On Any Of The Four Tests Within The Same School Year; To Allow School Districts And Charter Schools Flexibility As To The Means Of Equipping Their Students With The Knowledge Needed To Pass The Test; To Authorize The State Department Of Education To Promulgate Rules And Regulations To Guide School Districts And Charters Schools In Implementing This Act; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 47-7-2, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Revise The Definition Of "technical Violation" Within Probation And Parole Law To Provide That A Technical Violation Shall Not Include The Commission Of A New Criminal Offense By A Probationer Or Parolee; To Amend Section 47-7-38, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Define Terms; To Authorize The Department Of Public Safety To Determine The Number And Identities Of All Illegal Aliens Residing In The State Of Mississippi; To Direct The Department Of Public Safety To Enforce The Immigration Laws As Authorized Pursuant To Federal Laws And The Laws Of This State; To Require The Department Of Public Safety To Execute A Memorandum Of Agreement With The United States Immigration And Customs Enforcement Agency As Soon As Possible; To Require Each Law Enforcement Agency Operating A County Detention Facility To Execute A Written Agreement With The United States Immigration And Customs Enforcement Agency To Participate In The Immigration Program Established Under Section 287(g); To Provide A Felony Offense For A Person Who Is An Alien, Regardless Of National Origin, And Enters Or Attempts To Enter This State Directly From A Foreign Nation At Any Location Other Than A Lawful Port Of Entry; To Provide A Felony Offense, In Addition To Any Existing Penalty For The Underlying Crime, For A Person Who Is Arrested For Certain Criminal Offenses And Is Determined To Be An Illegal Alien, Regardless Of National Origin, And Unlawfully Present In The United States; To Authorize A Sentencing Court To Issue A Written Order Discharging The Person And Requiring Said Individual To Return To His Or Her Country Of Origin; To Direct The Court To Remand The Person Subject To The Order To The Custody Of The Department Of Corrections; To Require The Department Of Corrections To Notify The United States Customs And Border Protection Of The Department Of Homeland Security To Arrange Transportation For The Repatriation Of The Person Back To His Or Her Country Of Origin; To Provide Certain Affirmative Defenses To Prosecution Under This Act; To Provide That A Defendant Charged Or Convicted Under This Act Is Not Eligible For Expunction, An Intensive Supervision Program, Nonadjudication, Parole, Or Any Early Release Program; To Provide For Severability; And For Related Purposes.
