Proposing a constitutional amendment providing for the establishment of the Dementia Prevention and Research Institute of Texas, establishing the Dementia Prevention and Research Fund to provide money for research on and prevention and treatment of dementia and related disorders in this state, and transferring to that fund $3 billion from state general revenue.
Relating to discriminatory practices by a health benefit plan issuer, pharmacy benefit manager, and third-party payor and certain prescription drug manufacturers, distributors, and related persons with respect to certain entities participating in a federal drug discount program; providing a civil penalty.
Relating to the exclusion of a social worker license from the automatic revocation or denial of health care professional licenses for certain criminal offenses.
Relating to hate crimes, including criminal and civil liability for those crimes and the hate crime prevention grant program; increasing a criminal penalty.
