Relates to participation in World Trade Center rescue, recovery and cleanup operations by members of the organized militia; provides that members of the organized militia shall qualify as employees for the purposes of making a claim under the workers' compensation law for participation in the World Trade Center rescue, recovery and cleanup operations.
Allows the state and city university of New York system to offer college credits to prospective students based on such prospective student's performance on the regents examinations.
Adds an additional two non-voting members to the metropolitan transportation authority board, one who is the police chief of the MTA police department and the other who is chosen by the labor organization representing the majority of employees of the police department of the authority.
Creates substance use prevention and recovery resource materials which include age-appropriate information on the risks of drug use, overdoses, fentanyl, including its high potency, the severe risks associated with its use, the prevalence of counterfeit pills containing fentanyl, and the concept of fentanyl poisoning, and how to include resources from outside of the school district to improve instruction.
