Prohibits handcuffing children twelve (12) or under at initial police contact unless needed for public safety or if the child is using or threatening physical force against an officer.
Requires every school district to render assistance and cooperation within its jurisdictional power to further the objects of this chapter, to wit, providing the courts with any information concerning a child as the court may require.

HOUSE RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING MARCH 2026 AS "NATIONAL CREDIT EDUCATION MONTH" AND COMMENDING THOSE ORGANIZATIONS THAT FOCUS ON FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION IN THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND
Allows any school district to petition the board of education to use a lower-cost curriculum program, if the program is substantially similar to other programs approved by the board of education.
