Suspends the registration of vehicles which have been documented multiple times by a photo speed violation monitoring system for speeding in a highway construction or maintenance work area.
Provides for the inclusion of a faculty or staff member on the board of trustees of community colleges elected by and from among the faculty and staff of the college.
Relates to enacting the rent emergency stabilization for tenants act on local determinations of a housing emergency; authorizes a city with a population of one million or more to declare an emergency as to any class of housing accommodations if the vacancy rate for the housing accommodations in such class within such municipality is not in excess of five percent and a declaration of emergency may be made as to all housing accommodations if the vacancy rate for the housing accommodations within such municipality is not in excess of five percent; authorizes other cities, towns and villages to declare a housing emergency after considering publicly available data and holding public hearings.
Expands the geographic area of employment of state university police officers; centralizes the state university police by appointing a commissioner of state university police; provides for the hiring of state university police officers.
Requires the commissioner of corrections and community supervision to make correctional facility water testing results accessible directly, upon request, to incarcerated individuals and correctional facility staff in such facilities and make such water testing results available to the public on the website of the department.
Establishes the New York state energy storage siting task force to review the findings and recommendations of the Inter-Agency Fire Safety Working Group, summarize other current data and research and provide recommendations including any recommendations for where more data may be required.
