Relates to establishing the housing access voucher program; provides that the commissioner of the division of housing and community renewal shall implement a program of rental assistance in the form of housing vouchers for eligible individuals and families who are homeless or who face an imminent loss of housing; provides that the commissioner shall designate housing access voucher local administrators in the state to administer the program.
Prohibits the breeding, sale, trade, purchase, importation, and exportation of red-eared slider turtles in the state; exempts certain entities and organizations.
Authorizes and directs the commissioner of education to conduct a study regarding ecological literacy and healthy living curriculum in schools, and to provide recommendations in a report.
Requires express and affirmative consent prior to collection, storage or transmittal of any personal information obtained from the installation or use of a smart home connected system by certain persons.
Prohibits the trade of farmed fur products if any of the fur was sourced from an animal that was raised, maintained, kept, or housed for all or part of its life on a fur farm.
Establishes an affordable independent senior housing assistance program which shall provide grants within amounts appropriated or otherwise available therefor to affordable independent senior housing properties to establish and operate resident assistance programs.
Relates to protections and rights afforded to delivery network company (DNC) workers; requires DNCs to create internal procedures for workers to challenge deactivations; provides certain notice and other rights to workers to challenge deactivation both internally in a DNC and externally; allows the Department of Labor to investigate unwarranted deactivation of workers; makes related provisions.
Requires mental health services for incarcerated individuals with mental health issues related to the trauma of incarceration upon reentry and reintegration into society upon release.
Requires that notice be given to the borough president or presidents, the council member or members, the senator or senators, the member or members of assembly and the district managers of the affected community board or boards when there is a change in service furnished upon the rapid transit facilities or the omnibus line facilities of the New York city transit authority.
