Enacts the "utility penalty adjustment"; adjusts utility penalties to account for inflation; increases such penalties and ties them to inflation after January 1, 2027.
Requires the preparation and dissemination of written materials regarding child access prevention and the safe storage of firearms; establishes such information shall be provided to students and/or persons in a parental relationship to such students at the beginning of each semester or quarter of the regular school year beginning on and after July 1, 2026.
Provides additional documentation a tenant may provide to demonstrate that such tenant or a member of such tenant's household has been a victim of domestic violence for purposes of permitting the termination of residential lease by victims of domestic violence.
Prohibits an individual with a vested interest or government agency from having a cause of action against a library staff member who refuses to remove such library materials whether such library materials belongs to a school or public library.
Relates to motions to vacate judgment; authorizes filing motions to vacate judgment for a conviction that was subsequently decriminalized; authorizes motions to vacate judgment to be filed at any time after entry of a judgment obtained at trial or by plea; repeals certain provisions relating thereto.
Requires the department of health to develop and distribute educational materials, such as pamphlets and posters, to the public relating to common myths and misconceptions associated with asthma through healthcare providers, schools, and other channels.
Relates to the topics of the course required to be taken by practitioners certifying patients as eligible for medical cannabis; establishes the endocannabinoid system awareness program; requires the office of cannabis awareness and the department of health to publish information about the endocannabinoid system awareness program on their websites.
Requires certain labeling to be used to indicate the safety dates and quality dates of food products; requires the department of agriculture and markets to educate consumers about such provisions.
Authorizes the commissioner of labor and the workers' compensation board to issue stop-work orders; establishes procedure for the issuance of such orders; establishes penalties for failure to comply with such orders.
Relates to prevailing wage requirements applicable to public works and certain construction projects performed under private contract and paid for with public funds.
