Enacts the "faithless servant reform act", creating a rebuttable presumption of retaliation or discrimination for certain actions of an employer; provides that the employer maintains the burden of proof in certain actions against an employee; limits an employer's remedy of forfeiture against an employee's compensation.
Extends the chief administrator of the courts' authority to allow referees to determine certain applications to a family court for an order of protection.
Relates to authorization of treatment under workers' compensation for care and treatment of injured employees by podiatrists, chiropractors and psychologists; repeals certain provisions.
Removes certain provisions regarding public hearing and notice requirements prior to issuing safety and health rules, and notice requirements after issuing safety and health rules.
Relates to unlawful strikes by public employees; provides for the settlement of certain disputes relating to terms and conditions of employment of certain transit and transportation authorities.
Relates to protecting the communication rights of individuals with disabilities; provides that each person with a disability has the right to autonomously communicate in their preferred manner and utilize any validated communication supports that meet their needs.
Requires that in civil claims under the child victims act, adult survivors act, or a civil sex trafficking claim any insurer who may provide liability coverage for a claim shall, upon request from the claimant or claimant's attorney, provide information regarding each known policy of insurance; provides that a person bringing a civil claim in a sex trafficking case need not disclose their immigration status.
