A resolution to authorize the Senate Majority Leader to commence legal action, on behalf of the Senate, to compel the House of Representatives to fulfill its constitutional duty to present to the Governor the nine remaining bills passed by both houses during the One Hundred Second Legislature.
Environmental protection: permits; denial of or imposition of additional conditions on; provide for when projects are located in environmentally overburdened communities, and repeal environmental permit review commission provisions. Amends secs. 1301, 1305, 1307 & 1311 of 1994 PA 451 (MCL 324.1301 et seq.); designates secs. 1301 - 1311 as subpt. 1; adds subpt. 2 to pt. 13 & repeals secs. 1313 - 1317 of 1994 PA 451 (MCL 324.1313 - 324.1317).
Water supply: quality and standards; testing and reporting of the amount of microplastics in public drinking water supplies; require. Amends sec. 5 of 1976 PA 399 (MCL 325.1005) & adds sec. 6a.
Law enforcement: other; use of certain masks or disguises by law enforcement; prohibit in certain circumstances and require certain uniforms. Amends 1931 PA 328 (MCL 750.1 - 750.568) by adding sec. 396a.
Children: foster care; conditions on the use of certain benefits for a child in foster care; provide. Amends 1994 PA 203 (MCL 722.951 - 722.960) by adding sec. 8f.
Insurance: health insurers; prohibition on denying or conditioning coverage of a Medicare supplement policy; expand. Amends sec. 3829 of 1956 PA 218 (MCL 500.3829).
Sales tax: exemptions; sales tax holiday for back-to-school clothing and school supplies; provide for. Amends sec. 25 of 1933 PA 167 (MCL 205.75) & adds secs. 12a & 25a.
Use tax: exemptions; use tax holiday for back-to-school clothing and school supplies; provide for. Amends sec. 21 of 1937 PA 94 (MCL 205.111) & adds sec. 14c.
Trade: consumer goods and services; personal care products containing plastic microbeads; prohibit manufacture and acceptance for sale. Amends 1994 PA 451 (MCL 324.101 - 324.90106) by adding subpt. 3 to pt. 147.
