Relates to pistol permit applications for military personnel; requires the licensing officer to act on an application for any member of the active or reserve component of the armed forces within 90 days of presentment.
Repeals certain provisions establishing a fee for background checks on certain firearm and ammunition purchases; removes such fees as a source of funds for the background check fund.
Requires pharmacies to provide prescription drug readers or other means of access to individuals who disclose they have difficulty seeing or reading standard print labels on prescription drug containers; defines "prescription drug reader" to mean a device which is capable of audibly conveying information contained on the label of a prescription drug; makes exceptions.
Provides milk dealers and agricultural food product transporters with electronic toll collection devices free of charge; requires the department of transportation to reimburse the thruway authority and the metropolitan transportation authority for costs incurred in providing such toll collection devices.
Authorizes the department of transportation to establish and implement a state memorial sign program to memorialize persons who died due to injuries sustained in a fatal motor vehicle crash on state highways.
Allows students attending agricultural learning events to be counted as in attendance at school; defines "agricultural learning events" as including FFA events and 4-H programs.
