Prohibits the sale of foods containing synthetic color additives in schools except under certain circumstances off and away from the premises or on premises at least a half hour after the end of the school day.
Relates to low or moderate income housing developments; allows local zoning boards of appeals to approve affordable housing developments; provides for an appeals process to the division of housing and community renewal; creates a state zoning board of appeals within the division to hear such appeals; directs the division to conduct a study to integrate low income housing tax credit applications with the zoning application process under this act.
Requires the department of environmental conservation and the department of health to establish certain standards related to the cleaning of playground equipment after pesticide exposure.
Prohibits the city school district from reimbursing charter schools for leasing a privately owned or other publicly owned facility; prohibits charter school employee contracts from including a non-disclosure agreement.
Decreases the frequency of lock-down drills in schools; directs that such drills shall be implemented with a trauma-informed approach; permits parents to opt their children out of such drills.
Creates a set of media literacy standards for students in grades kindergarten through twelve which focuses on internet safety, civility and digital citizenship.
Expands the eligibility period for indigent legal service attorneys to receive certain loan forgiveness; increases loan reimbursement for certain attorneys who work in legal services with indigent clients.
Provides that contributions up to the first $250 of any contribution amount shall be matchable contributions under the public campaign financing program.
