Memorializing Governor Kathy Hochul to proclaim April 2025, as Organ and Tissue Donor Awareness Month in the State of New York, in conjunction with the observance of National Donate Life Month
Enacts the "freedom to read act"; requires the commissioner of education and school library systems to develop policies to ensure that school libraries and library staff are empowered to curate and develop collections that provide students with access to the widest array of developmentally appropriate materials available.
Prohibits contributions or donations to be made by hostile foreign nations in connection with a state or local election; makes a knowing violation of such provisions a class A felony, subject to an additional civil penalty equal to the contribution or donation amount plus a fine of up to ten thousand dollars.
Provides that a person is guilty of criminal mischief in the third degree when such person intentionally damages property of another person to promote or suppress a political ideology, or otherwise as an expression of political ideology.
Dedicates a portion of the state highway system constituting state route three hundred one from Belden Road to Gipsy Trail Road in the town of Carmel, county of Putman, to John F. McArdle.
Enacts Firefighter Joseph P. Spor Jr.'s Law; requires the commissioner of education to establish September eleventh awareness curriculum or instruction for school districts; requires the education department to make curriculum materials and other resources regarding September eleventh available on its website.
