Establishes a competitive emergency mapping grant program which will provide grants to school districts or boards of cooperative educational services to upgrade their floor plans, blueprints, schematics or other maps of their school interior, school grounds and road maps of the immediate surrounding area included in their building level emergency response plans.
Requires the council on arts to make recommendations on the renaming of the agency buildings located at the empire state plaza; requires the governor to choose the new agency building names within 60 days after the council's recommendation.
Requires the administration of certain vaccines for children in accordance with regulations issued by the commissioner, utilizing generally accepted medical standards and based on recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Physicians, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and/or other similar nationally or internationally recognized scientific organizations; removes certain requirements for vaccines to be administered under federal guidance.
Extends provisions of law permitting adjudications and owner liability for a violation of traffic-control signal indications in the village of Pelham Manor.
Expands how applicants may qualify for a license to be a dentist to include postdoctoral specialty programs and advanced education programs in general dentistry.
Directs the department of health to collect certain data from relevant entities, and designated public safety answering points to receive 911 service calls, regarding calls and dispatches for emergency medical services; establishes reporting requirements.
Requires the planning board or other administrative body of a town, village or city authorized to designate, review and approve, approve with modifications, or disapprove site plans to develop a standardized form containing all requirements for such site plan review applications; makes related provisions.
Provides that charter school applicants shall first apply to the community district education council or the board of education of the school district for approval for renewal of a charter within a certain amount of time and public hearings shall be conducted on such proposed application.
