An Act To Amend Section 37-19-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For An Increase Of $7,500.00 To The Minimum Teacher Salary Scale; To Amend Section 37-21-7, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide For An Increase Of $7,500.00 To The Minimum Base Salary For Assistant Teachers; To Provide That No School District Shall Reduce The Local Supplement Or Pay An Individual Assistant Teacher Less Than The State Minimum Salary In A Year In Which The State Minimum Salary Is Increased; To Provide For A Reduction In Funds For Districts That Violate This Section; To Provide That No District Shall Pay Any Assistant Teacher Less Than The State Minimum Salary Unless Done So By A Pro Rata Daily Amount Where There Has Been A Reduction In Adequate Education Program Allocations For Such District In Such Year Or In The Amount Of Federal Funds To Such District From The Previous Year; To Express The Legislature's Intent That Each Full-time Professor Or Instructor At A State Institution Of Higher Learning Or Community Or Junior College Receive A Salary Increase Above Existing Pay; To Express The Intent Of The Legislature That All Full-time Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors And Course Instructors Of Any Institution Of Higher Learning Or Community Or Junior College Receive A Salary Increase Of $7,500.00 Above Their Current Salaries; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 27-19-63, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That If The Owner Or Operator Of A Purchased Vehicle Acquired The Vehicle From A Dealer And As Part Of The Transaction Of Purchasing The Vehicle Traded In A Vehicle To The Dealer, The Person May Retain The License Plate Removed From The Traded Vehicle And Use The License Plate On The Vehicle Purchased And Registered If The License Plate Is Of The Same Series As That Of A New License Plate Required For The Vehicle That Is Purchased And To Be Registered, The License Plate Is Authorized For Use On The Type Of Vehicle Purchased And To Be Registered And The County In Which The License Plate Was Issued Is The Same As The County In Which The Purchased Vehicle Is To Be Registered; To Amend Section 27-19-141, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That If A Person, Other Than A Dealer Or Agent, Sells Or Transfers A Vehicle To Another Person, In Lieu Of Surrendering The License Plate, The Person May Retain And Use The License Plate On Another Vehicle That Is To Be Registered By Such Person For The First Time If The License Plate Is Of The Same Series As That Of A New License Plate Required For Such Vehicle That Is To Be Registered, The License Plate Removed From The Vehicle Is Authorized For Use On The Type Of Vehicle To Be Registered And The County In Which The License Plate Was Issued Is The Same As The County In Which The Vehicle Is To Be Registered; And For Related Purposes.

An Act To Amend Section 83-39-3, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Require The Commissioner Of Insurance To Suspend A Bail License Where A License Has Been Granted To A Professional Bail Agent, Soliciting Bail Agent Or Bail Enforcement Agent And Evidence Is Presented, Subsequently, That A Court Has Rendered A Civil Judgment Against That Agent Because Of Monies Owed To An Insurer Or Professional Bail Agent For Reasons Pertaining To His Or Her Employment Or Termination Of Employment; To Provide That After The Judgment Has Been Satisfied, A Hearing To Reinstate The License May Be Requested, And The License May Be Reinstated Upon Presentation Of The Satisfaction Of The Judgment; To Amend Section 83-39-25, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Clarify That Credit Card Transaction Fees, Bond Transfer Fees And Any Other Fees Authorized By Law Or Regulation Shall Not Be Considered Part Of The Premium, Commission Or Fee Charged Under This Section; To Bring Forward Section 99-5-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, For Possible Amendment; To Authorize A Court To Assess The Cost Of Any Service Of Process Of A Bail Agent Either By Personal Service Or By Certified Mail Against The Defendant In Any Criminal Case Where Such Service Is Issued By The Court; And For Related Purposes.
